The Tones page is a crucial feature on the FullChinese app: it allows you to become stronger in tone recognition and reproduction in speech and text. You will not only gain a better understanding of the 4 main tones, but also allow a better understanding of more complex tone sequences. For instance, the notorious "Tone 3 Tone 3" sequence has its own page. For more advanced learners, the tone page is a useful reference in language fluency.
For instance, let's take a look at the first tone. If you press on the "Tone 1" button, you are brought to the page below. You will only see the Tone 1 Icon at the top, but also an example character using the first tone. Similarly, each tone will have a short description of what it sounds like (e.g., Tone 1 = High constant pitch) as well as useful context. At the very bottom, you will also notice 8 buttons: they represent all possible, successive sequences using the first tone.
Below demonstrates the Tone 1 Tone 3 and the Tone 1 Tone 3 Tone 1 sequences. They are all accompanied by examples such that you can become more familiar with the sound.
Finally, here's an example of another set of tone sequences starting with the 3rd tone. And that's it! Feel free to explore any other tone sequences while learning Chinese.
